It's a query that has puzzled humanity from as early as the earliest Greeks. So which originated first, the chicken or the egg? AsapSCIENCE takes a blow at this interesting mystery.

This problem would be very simple if we took it plainly. Egg-laying animals such as crocodiles and turtles were there way earlier than chickens as we know them, so theoretically the egg came before the chicken. But we all recognize that's not what we're speaking about here.

The query of the chicken or the chicken egg is basically about cause and result. If a chicken is born from an egg, where did the egg come from? Some other chicken, clearly. But where did that chicken come from? An egg, So which came earlier?

The protein needed for the creation of chicken eggs is called OV-17, and it’s only originated in chicken ovaries. So without chickens, says AsapSCIENCE, there can't be chicken eggs. Squad Chicken: 1, Squad Egg: 0. but then, perhaps a chicken egg doesn't have to be arranged by a chicken to be clear as such. What if it was given by something that wasn't a chicken, but still confined a chicken? So what if genetic changes over thousands of peers led to somewhat very similar to a chicken - let's say a proto-chicken - and it occurred to create a chicken? Squad Egg: 1, Squad Chicken: 1.

But who won??? Lets see:
